Deadline: March 1, 2026 for new applications and second-year renewals.

New Applicants

Applications are submitted through the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) online scholarship portal. To apply:

1. Create an account on the CACF portal.
2. Apply for the Grace Tinsley Memorial Scholarship. You may also apply for the Charlottesville Promise Scholarship and other local scholarships administered by CACF through the same application.
3. Return to the portal to edit your application and upload supplemental materials as you collect them.

Accepting an Award

If you receive a scholarship offer, you must:

1. Use the acceptance link provided to formally accept the award.
2. Complete and upload all required information.
3. Submit the Scholarship Acceptance Agreement (PDF).

Note: Save the content you enter into your Acceptance Form before uploading it.

Second-Year Renewals

Current scholarship recipients seeking a second-year renewal must submit by March 1, 2026. No special forms are required — simply:

• Upload an updated transcript
• Update your contact information
• Provide updated financial information
